Epic lineage and genetics
This strain is a pairing of Gelato #33 and Sorbet. They combine to form a potent, fruity cultivar with uplifting effects. The iconic lineage means you’re getting the best cannabis genetics you can buy.
Gelato #33 is a special phenotype. We selected it from our famed Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) combination. Sorbet is a secret DNA genetics clone-only creation that sports gorgeous purple flowers. Some think it could be a rare phenotype of Sunset Sherbet.
Sunset Sherbet is an award-winning match between terpene-rich GSC and Pink Panties. It’s famously flavoursome, with rich concentrations of resin.
A feast of flavour
This top-shelf cannabis strain boasts stunning colours, and the flavours are quite exceptional. It makes this aesthetically pleasing strain a sensory adventure.
Gelato Sorbet produces a dank and tangy aroma with berry flavours and mint hints. Growers may need to invest in filtration, as the flowering flavours are notable.
This mouthwatering strain is mostly fruity and sweet. As the name suggests, it combines creamy and sour citrus notes with pine and honey tones, adding depth to this decadent, delectable blend.
A sweet fruity burst highlights the inhale. The creamy, smooth smoke is easy on the lungs. Undertones of earthiness add character to the exhale.
Chill with the Gelato Sorbet strain
Gelato Sorbet offers relaxation, happiness, and euphoria. This deliciously mellow strain kicks in rapidly. It eases stress and anxiety, leaving you chilled but alert.
Indica-dominance spreads pleasant relaxation throughout the body. The physical high is the main focus, but this hybrid also offers mental refreshment. It aids creativity, lifts energy, and sharpens focus.
Also known as Sherbet Gelato, it squashes negative thoughts and encourages bliss. It’s a bit of a contradiction, as it relaxes some and elevates others.
The flavours make it easy to overconsume. Expect minor side effects, like bloodshot eyes and a dry mouth. Eye drops and a tasty beverage should help. Many people also experience the munchies, so keep a stash of healthy snacks.
This sweet strain has great potential for use in the medicinal cannabis industry. Some choose this high-THC strain to treat chronic pain, anxiety, and stress. Others claim it eases inflammation, nausea, and depression.
How to grow Gelato Sorbet feminised seeds
You can grow Gelato Sorbet indoors, outside, or in a greenhouse. This indica-dominant strain is great for beginners, as the plants grow uniformly. Excellent harvests are possible with minimal intervention.
The growth cycle starts with germination. You can plant the seeds directly into the final medium or use special plugs or starter cubes.
We recommend the simple, effective paper towel method for germination. You need a few household items:
- Gelato Sorbet feminised seeds
- Two matching dinner plates
- Two pieces of paper towel
- Purified water (preferably with a spray nozzle)
- Tweezers
Use the bottled water to wet the first paper towel. Make it damp, not soaked. Squeeze out any excess before laying it flat on the first dinner plate. Lift a corner to ensure there’s no standing water.
Use the tweezers to place the cannabis seeds on the damp paper towel. Leave an inch of space between them.
Wet the second paper towel and drape it over the seeds. Flip the second dinner plate and use it to enclose the medium. Put it in a dark, dry, warm, and accessible spot. Check for the little white taproot each day. Don’t let the medium dry out completely.
Cannabis seeds take around five days to sprout. Replant in the final growing medium once the taproot is half an inch long. These are feminised Gelato Sorbet cannabis seeds, which means over 99% become bud-bearing females, limiting the waste of males.
Indoor growers can score excellent harvests by ensuring the best environment. Cannabis grows best at 70–80⁰F. Seedlings are sensitive. They don’t require supplemental feedings for the first three weeks. Relative humidity (RH) around 70% is optimal.
Most growers choose an 18 hours on, 6 hours off lighting schedule. Some prefer 20/4. Nitrogen-heavy nutrients boost development during the vegetative stage. Experts suggest a 6:3:9 NPK ratio for explosive growth.
Progressively taper down the RH to 45% by the start of flowering. Induce bloom by changing the lighting schedule to 12 hours on and 12 hours off to mimic the changing of the seasons.
Change the NPK nutrient ratio, too. Kick off flowering with a 3:6:9 ratio. In the final stages, 0:3:3 boosts bud development and quality.
Harvest the buds when over 50% of the trichomes turn cloudy. Use a magnifying glass to ensure accurate timing. In favourable conditions, you can collect 15–18 oz/m² after just 8–9 weeks of bloom.
Outdoor growers must find a sunny warm spot with at least six hours of direct sun and minimal wind. Gelato Sorbet seeds grow best in warm, dry continental or temperate climates.
Outdoor operations can produce larger plants and heavier harvests. Crops flower after the summer solstice near the end of June. The trichomes should turn creamy around the start of October.
