Kosher Kush backstory

Kosher Kush regular cannabis seeds are a second-generation backcross. Breeders matched two phenotypes of Kosher Kush x Kosher Kush.

The strain, initially named “Jew Gold”, emerged in Los Angeles, apparently in a clone-only version. The lineage is uncertain, but most experts reckon West Coast legend OG Kush is involved. Also known as Kosher OG, some think the strain is genetically blessed.

It won back-to-back awards for Best Indica at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2010 and 2011. Judges also named it the Best Overall Strain in 2011.

Kosher Kush is a taste explosion

Kosher Kush is the dankest of the dank, befitting such a decorated strain. It’s extra odiferous, with an attractive citrus, fruity aroma. Kosher Kush regular marijuana seeds grow into pleasantly pungent top-shelf cannabis buds.

Some rank Kosher Kush among the very best cultivars for flavour. Users report gassy notes like diesel blended with earthy or woody tones. The dried, cured flowers also give off subtle sweet hints.

The inhale is creamy and sweet, with lemon and vanilla notes. It’s fruity with a citrus or berry sour tang. The exhale drops mint with rich, earthy pine.

Chill with this kosher indica

Kosher Kush is an indica-heavy strain with around 22% THC. With more than 20 awards, it’s not a secret, but it may still be underrated. It provides a powerful initial cerebral buzz followed by hard-hitting relaxation. This strain is best used in the evenings.

Cannabis Cup winners are formidable and typically offer extensive effects. Kosher Kush is no different. The onset is immediate, and the effects are long-lasting. Expect an instant improvement in mood and blissful euphoria.

The uplift soon transitions into a comfortable numbness. Organise a cosy position, and melt into it. This cannabis strain is excellent for lazy nights watching TV. Prepare snacks and beverages, as couch-lock is a real possibility.

Some consumers claim Kosher Kush helps with health issues. Some insomniacs report they get better rest with this strain. Others assert it helps ease conditions that cause chronic or acute pain. It reportedly also sedates and reduces stress.

Don’t overdo it and stick to low doses. Heavy consumption may be counterproductive, potentially causing anxiety or paranoia.

Side effects could include red eyes and a dry mouth. Saline eye drops and a hydrating drink should help. Keep some healthy snacks available to guard against the munchies.

How to grow Kosher Kush regular cannabis seeds

Experts say Kosher Kush regular marijuana seeds are easy to grow but challenging to master. These regular cannabis seeds are 100% natural and produce photoperiod plants. They grow about a 50/50 split of female and male offspring.

Breeders use regular seeds to create new strains and lineages. Male plants pollinate the females, causing them to stop growing buds and turning to seed production. It’s awesome if you want seeds, but less appealing if you need buds; which is where feminised seeds are ideal.

With regular seeds, you must determine the sex of your plants. Remove male crops if you want quality buds. Male plants form tiny sacs at the nodes when they mature. Females grow little white hairs, or whiskers. Start checking about three weeks after germination.

The first step in cannabis cultivation is to germinate your seeds. Grab some tweezers, pure bottled water, two paper towels, and two plates.

Lay a damp paper towel on one of the plates. Use the tweezers to place your Kosher Kush regular cannabis seeds on the sheet, keeping them around an inch apart.

Cover the seeds with the second damp paper towel. Pull back a corner to ensure there’s no standing water. Flip the second plate and enclose the medium.

Leave the plates in a warm, humid, dark spot that’s easy to get to. It typically takes 1–5 days for seeds to sprout. Check them daily, but don’t let stray light in. Don’t allow the towels to dry out completely, either. When you see a short white taproot, move them to the permanent medium.

The vegetative phase can last between 4–16 weeks. Outdoor growers can plant their Kosher Kush regular marijuana seeds in spring. Don’t feed during the seedling stage (1–3 weeks). Look for preflowers after about 3–4 weeks of growth. Separate the males until you’re sure.

Outdoor crops start to flower after the summer solstice on June 21st. Start checking the trichomes around early October. Outdoor plants may reach six feet tall, supporting dense, generous harvests.

Indoor growers can choose a light regime of 18 hours on and 6 off, or 20 hours on and 4 off. Temperatures of 21–27⁰C (70–80⁰F) with 70% relative humidity (RH) are perfect.

Reduce the RH to below 50% by the flowering phase. Induce bloom by changing the lights to 12 hours on and 12 off, which tricks the plants into preparing for the “changing seasons.” Ensure you have enough space, as these plants can stretch.

Expect to reap 16–19 oz./m² after 9–10 weeks of flowering. Plants need higher doses of phosphorus and potassium to develop to their potential. You may need carbon air filters for this odorous strain.
